Hot Hot Heat, ‘Goodnight, Goodnight’

Victoria’s own Hot Hot Heat has had a wild ride since the release of their 2002 sophomore album, Make Up the Breakdown. Their mixture of indie-rock and 80’s style keyboards captured the hearts of critics and fans around the world. HHH’s latest single, “Goodnight, Goodnight,” from their upcoming CD Elevator will sound instantly familiar — thundering rhythm section, whirling guitar, and Steve Bays’ punky vocals. Yet, there is a rawer edge, a more live atmosphere to “Goodnight, Goodnight” that should excite fans and reel in new ones. (Sire) Rating: 3 Out Of 5 Stars
