For a second year in a row, Google has topped Léger Marketing's Top 100 most reputable brands survey.
Léger's study examined 225 companies and ranked them according to over 25,000 online survey responses, including 2,100 consumers answering questions about each brand.
Canadian brands that placed in the top 10 include Shoppers Drug Mart (#3), Canadian Tire (#4) and Dollarama (#6), which jumped six places from 2015 to place within the top 10 for the first time.
Despite its recent budget cuts and the Jian Ghomeshi scandal, CBC/Radio Canada (#21) moved up 11 places this year. Facebook (#43, up 29 places), crafts retailer Michaels (#66, up 16 places) and Petro-Canada (#74, up 30 places) were also big winners in this year's survey.
