CBC renews Schitt's Creek for fourth season

Critically-acclaimed Canadian comedy series Schitt’s Creek will return for a fourth season in 2018, CBC announced yesterday.

Schitt’s Creek, currently airing its third season, draws an average weekly audience of 877,000, according to the CBC.

On Wednesday, Emily Hampshire was named best supporting actress in a comedy for the second year in a row at the Canadian Screen Awards. On Sunday, the series will also be up for best comedy series and best comedy performance for stars Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara.

The finale for the show’s current season airs on April 4.
