Batman beats Superman comic price in auction

detective_comics_27Who would win in a real-life superhero brawl: Batman or Superman?

The answer: The Dark Knight by $75,500 U.S.

Batman’s 1939 debut in Detective Comics #27 was sold for $1,075,500 U.S. in a Dallas, TX auction on Feb. 26.

Just four days earlier, Superman’s 1938 debut in Action Comics #1 sold in New York for a then-record-setting amount of $1 million U.S.

Action Comics #1 had long been considered the most valuable comic to collectors.

We smell a rematch coming.
