'Frasier' star recovering after mild heart attack

Kelsey Grammer was hospitalized in Hawaii after suffering a mild heart attack over the weekend.

The 53-year-old actor had experienced symptoms Saturday morning at his Hawaiian home after paddle boating with his wife, Camille, said the rep. He was immediately taken to an area hospital, where it was determined he had suffered a mild heart attack. He is now “resting comfortably” and is set to be released later this week.

Grammer co-starred in Fox’s comedy Back to You this past season and just signed on for a starring role in ABC’s comedy pilot Roman’s Empire. Prior to that, he starred as Dr. Frasier Crane on NBC’s Cheers and Frasier.
