Celebrating 10 years with a new look

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Popjournalism. It’s truly hard to believe we’ve passed the decade mark already.

When I first launched this site, tech stocks were sure bets, Napster was the best way to download music, and the World Trade Center towers were still standing.

So, here we still are, too. We’re always looking to improve our service, and in the spirit of more immediacy, two new blogs are launching.

“On the Scene” is the staff blog, which will forward news from the field wherever we are: premieres, parties and previews. And “In the Mix” is an electronic and pop music blog where we’ll share the latest videos and tracks (and maybe some of our own creation) for your collective judgment.

Of course, if it wasn’t for our readers, writers past and present, and our colleagues in the media industry sticking with us, 10 years woudn’t have been possible!

Cheers and here’s to another 10 years!

P.S. I wrote this article on my iPhone. Can’t wait to send more posts from the field to you this way!
