In Oscars first, gender-fluid performer Kelly Mantle considered for both male and female acting categories

As the Oscar race begins to heat up, a milestone: gender-fluid performer Kelly Mantle is officially submitted for consideration in both the male and female acting categories, according to The Wrap.

Mantle portrays a transgender prostitute in the indie comedy-drama Confessions of a Womanizer, and is also known as a contestant on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Confessions of a Womanizer has already won numerous awards since its 2014 world premiere and subsequent theatrical release this October.
